SPECIAL VOCABULARIES

A growing number of organisations have realised that they can construct their own core vocabularies and have them produced by Signalong. We are building a database of signs to make this even simpler. These can range from the very slim book produced for Lifecare NHS Trust to introduce GP surgery staff to the concept of visual communication, up to a very much more substantial book for Scope's Beaumont College. Some organisations with trained Signalong tutors on their staff have opted for special vocabularies as the basis of their training programmes.  For a small extra cost we can produce diagrams of local signs and incorporate these into the commissioned manuals.

There is a basic set-up cost, subject to v.a.t., of £150 for the first 200 sign diagrams, plus £75 per hundred or part hundred thereafter. For this, we produce the sign pages and the index, include the "yellow pages" of signing instructions, your introduction and cover design.  The manuals will be priced according to their size, and will be roughly comparable to our own publications. They will also be subject to bulk order discounts.

You can also order your own collections of signs, either as pdfs or as hard copies, sent to you on fine quality card.  If you want more than 50 signs in any 12 month period these will be subject to a license aggreement.  click here for details.click here for details
