TRUSTEES
Charity trustees are the people who have the general control and management of a charity’s administration, they are ultimately responsible for the charity. It is recommended that consideration is given to the balance of skills on the trustee board. We meet every quarter online or a central location in London, whichever suits the majority of the trustees. You can take on as much or as little responsibility as you want.
Our current board consists of Lead Enterprise Architect and IT Strategy Consultant, Chartered Accountant, Headteacher, Speech & Language Therapist, Teacher, HR Shared Services Manager and retired Signalong Tutor. We are always looking to recruit new trustees who can add to our existing board. It is really important that new trustees are aware of the responsibilities of charity trusteeship and you can find some supporting documentation above.
Remembering Andy Evans
We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Andy Evans, Headteacher of Great Oaks School and one of our long-standing Trustees last week. Andy served as a Trustee of Signalong from 15th April 2013, during which time he helped to shape, strengthen, and champion our work. Signalong was an important part of Andy’s life; he even met his wife, Zoe, during a Signalong Tutor course. We are truly grateful for the dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment he brought to Signalong. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Andy’s family and everyone at Great Oaks School.
